Analytics Engineering Manager
Make a Difference in Healthcare with Data
At Simple Online Healthcare, we’re building a better way to deliver care — one that’s faster, more accessible, and driven by data. From the way we prescribe treatments to how we scale as a business, data is at the heart of every decision we make.
We’re now looking for a hands-on Analytics Engineering Manager to lead the next evolution of our analytics platform — and play a key role in how we grow.
Why This Role Matters
As our Analytics Engineering Manager, you’ll own and evolve the data infrastructure that powers every corner of the business. Reporting to our Head of Data, you’ll lead a small team of talented Analytics Engineers while staying close to the code yourself. You'll set the roadmap, scale our platform, and ensure every stakeholder—from clinical operations to product—has access to trusted, timely insights.
If you’re passionate about using data to drive real-world impact in a fast-paced, purpose-led company, this is the role for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own the analytics platform roadmap – Define the vision, prioritise features, and plan delivery in line with business growth.
- Optimise our data infrastructure – Manage data pipelines, dbt models, and Looker semantic layers.
- Deliver reporting and insights – Build scalable dashboards and collaborate with teams to uncover actionable opportunities.
- Ensure data reliability – Implement testing frameworks and proactive monitoring to maintain trust in our metrics.
- Support and educate – Create clear documentation and help stakeholders make better, data-driven decisions.
- Lead integration efforts – Bring new tools and sources into the platform while driving best practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally – Work closely with Engineering, Product, and others to get the right data in the right place.
What We’re Looking For
✅ Technical Skills
- Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience with dbt.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and scalable data modelling.
- Expertise in Looker, including building semantic layers and dashboards.
- Solid grasp of data governance, GDPR, and privacy best practices.
✅ Experience
- 3+ years in a data role within a high-growth startup or scale-up.
- Proven ability to deliver impactful analytics solutions in complex environments.
- Experience leading small teams or managing medium-sized projects.
✅ Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Able to translate complex data concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Growth mindset, team-first attitude, and a love for simplifying the complex.
